“Chennai Express” keeps on amazing performance in 2nd week and rapidly marching toward another milestone, off course, that is 200 crores mile stone on home box office but film achieved another milestone on Saturday and become member of 300 crores club (worldwide gross collection).
This is fourth film in Indian cinema which crosses milestone of 300 crores. Earlier 3 Idiots (385 cr), Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani (321) and Ek Tha Tiger (307 cr) had done this miracle.
If we talk about 2nd weekend performance of CE, it’s fantastic business; the film took advantage of slow performance of “OUATIMD” and garnered handsome amount 10.50 crores.
Now, total domestic collection is 178.68 crores and total worldwide collection is 250 crores. The film collected around 20.35 crores on second weekend that means it will finish second week around 30-35 crores.
