“SATYAGRAHA” had completed 2nd week with less than expectation; it had done good business in first week and collected around 53.55 crores but it showed big fall in second week and managed around 8 crores. Since it recovered production cost so it is in safe zone but if it had done somewhat better business in second week, it would have been received hit status.
If we talke about content, it is based on social and political problem so this figure is not bad and it was clear with first week’s trend, right now, most of audiences are still in fun mood and prefer to watch either comedy, "Chennai Express" or romantic film. Another cause of drop in 2nd week was reduced screen owning to new released films “Shudh Deshi Romance” and remake of Amitabh Bachcha’s super hit film “Zanjeer”and now, "Grand Masti".
Overall films business is not bad, and after 14 days business its total domestic collection is around 61.55 crores and total worldwide Collection around 75.55 crores. Film should finish life time around 63 crores.
