“Madras Café” has done decent business in first week & 2ndweekend and collected consecutively 33.53 crores and around 7 crores but it could not maintain that pace on second Monday and showed big fall, that determines it destiny. Now it is impossible for film to get clean hit status.
The film showed more than 70% drop from first Monday and collected around 85 lakhs which bring total domestic collection around 41.38 crores and total worldwide collection around 45 crores. Now, it is getting tough competition with “Satyagraha” and next week there are two more new films that means it will shrunk on fewer screen. Hence life time collection looks around maximum 45 crores.
Budget of film is around 35 crores which is already recovered but to get clean hit status it has to collect around 70 crores which is impossible. Film will be treated as an average film.
