Ghanchakkar did decent business as expected in first week and collected around 33.50 crores. There was big expectation with this film because last time pair of Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan had done very well but this time they could not repeat that performance, reason may be content and mood of audience. Presently, love story are doing very well so it looks major cause, Raanjhanaa is giving tough competition.
Overall performance of film is not bad as some website is making noise. Film did similar business on Thursday and collected around 1.90 crores. If film sustain well in 2nd week it may get hit status. Today, it will loss some screen space owing to new releases so collection will be affected. Film should finish life time around 50 crores.
