Simply, Aashiqui 2 is awesome and unstoppable and there is no compression. The film already got status of first super hit film of the year and now, looks towards blockbuster status.
The film had done outstanding business in last two week and grossed consecutive 36 crores & 17.50 crores in first week & second week. Now, it has stared brilliantly on Friday in spite of losing some screens in third week. It seems that content has mesmerized audience and they like to watch it again and again as we are getting reaction of audience.
It is fact that whenever a good love story came which shows Indian culture & values and deep felling of emotion did wonderful job on box office. Whether, it was Amir Khan’s first film “Kayamat Se Kayamat”, Salman Khan’s “Maine Pyar Kiya, Shahrukh Khan’s Dilwale Dulhania Le Gainge, Khuch Khuch Hota Hia, Veer Zare etc or Rahul Roy’s first film “Aashiqui”.
All ages have a special place for love story. Right now, Aashiqui 2 is giving example of this. As far third Friday business is concerned it has started fantastically, there was only 10% drop from second Friday and collected around 2 crores.
Film is trending well on Saturday and collection can surprise. It will take big jump on Sunday and finish third weekend amid 7-8 crores. That means it will cross the mark of 60 crores by the end of this weekend. It should finish third week around 12 crores.
