Supreme Court reduced one year punishment from Special TADA Court’s decision. He has already spent 18 months in jail and now he has to go jail to complete rest of punishment. When the hearing of case was going on, Sanjay Dutt’s sister and congress MP Priya Dutt was present there. As the decision came she and Sanjay Dutt himself burst into tears.
As you know, TADA court had given verdict of 6 years punishment for keeping illegal a 9mm pistol and an AK-56 rifle but he was acquitted of more serious charges of criminal conspiracy under the anti-terror TADA.
Sanjay Dutt has already spent 13 months in jail, if Supreme court continues TADA court’s decision, then he has to go jail for rest of punishment.
